Shree Uttareshwar Mandir

A vibrant community Shiva temple featuring a towering Deepstambh (pillar of light).

Located closer to the town center, this temple has a large laterite courtyard used for public gatherings. The Deepstambh is fully lit with oil lamps during Mahashivratri, creating a spectacular visual. The temple roof is covered in classic Mangalore tiles to protect against the Konkan monsoons.
The temple has served as a central socio-religious hub for Shrivardhan for hundreds of years. Local records suggest it was the site of village council meetings before the formalization of local government under the Marathas.
