Kusumeshwar Mandir, Shrivardhan

An isolated, ancient Shiva temple surrounded by dense betel nut and coconut groves.

The temple features a prominent, deep-set Shivalinga. Unlike the larger temples, Kusumeshwar is known for absolute silence. The temple complex is built from exposed laterite rock (Chira) which naturally cools the interior even during peak summer.
It is one of the oldest structural remnants in the Shrivardhan taluka, historically acting as a quiet spiritual resting place for merchants traversing the ancient maritime trade routes along the Konkan coast.
